Oregon – Star Baker
Character Design & Concept Art by Jubal J. Pérez Ortiz
Overview:
Oregon is a cosmic experiment — a towering being forged from starlight and void energy, created to test new world-building concepts for Star Baker. While his role is still evolving, Oregon may serve as the foundation for a colony of celestial entities tasked with harvesting rare cosmic ingredients… or perhaps as one of the series’ primary antagonists.
Design Direction:
His form blends divine anatomy with cosmic density — muscular yet fluid, with luminous markings that pulse like fractured nebulae. Oregon’s different color phases (Magenta, Solar, and Abyssal) represent emotional and elemental shifts tied to his core energy cycle, each reflecting a unique aspect of creation, destruction, and rebirth.
Artistic Process:
Developed digitally, the focus was on color harmony, dynamic light flow, and a sense of galactic scale. Layered star textures, refracted gradients, and sculpted musculature highlight his divine strength while maintaining an ethereal, otherworldly rhythm.
Creative Intent:
Oregon is both a character and a creative test — a being who might lead his own cosmic colony, gather ingredients across galaxies, or stand as a powerful adversary within the Star Baker universe. His design explores how beauty, danger, and creation intertwine when life itself is born from the stars.
